About Social Montana
My name is Doug McIaac, I'm the founder of Social
Montana and the CEO of Social Traffic, the training division for Simon U Ford's wildy successful eBook Social
Traffic. While I live in Billings, I've been working on national and international social media marketing campaigns
and building the training curriculum for Social Traffic's online training courses.
While at a local networking event I explained to
Serena Silvestone of the Green Directory Montana what I did and she asked me to meet with Alex Tyson of the
Billings Chamber of Commerce/CVB to discuss doing some training locally. Which
to be honest I had never thought of doing.
Alex convinced me to share my social marketing
secrets and teach classes to the Billings Chamber of Commerce members...
and SocialMontana.com was born.
More about Doug McIsaac
Doug is currently the CEO of Social Traffic Inc, the
training arm for Simon U Ford, the author of the wildy successful eBook Social Traffic. Social Traffic's first
public courses will launch in late summer 2009. Social Traffic has proven itself to be on the leading edge of
Social Media training through several years and thousands of hours of on the ground testing to find out what truly
works to drive traffic and build your business.
With almost 20 years of business ownership and
management experience, Doug is an entrepreneur at heart and enjoys helping other business owners grow their
businesses.
His leadership and management skills helped grow
RMTG, Inc from a three-person operation in a tiny Billings office to a multi-million-dollar enterprise with 30
employees and global reach.
Prior to helping found RMTG, Doug was a principal in
World Circle, a wholesale import/export business that collected and marketed minerals and fossils to collectors,
schools and jewelry manufacturers, among others. The company also imported minerals, fossils and handmade crafts
from around the world.
Doug also contributed to the success of his family’s
business – a small network of optical and hearing aid shops, for which he set up a system for electronic tracking
of patient records.
A self-described “life learner,” Doug augments his
formal education by attending a diverse array of seminars on issues ranging from business management to personal
development.
Doug credits his involvement in the Junior
Achievement program as a key to his success in business. He served on the local board of JA, which has chapters in
almost 100 countries and is the world’s largest economic education organization – bringing business people and high
school students together, and using hands-on experiences to help young people understand the economics of
life.
Doug’s business skills were recognized in 2002
with his selection by the Exchange Clubs of Billings, the Billings Gazette and Western Business
magazine as one of the community’s “40 under 40” – individuals
under the age of 40 who were making a difference in the community and economy of Billings and the state of
Montana.
